Internet entrepreneur, blogger, dancer and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is launching RadicalBuy, a classifieds application running on Facebook.
The premise is pretty straightforward, list your sale items and broadcast your wares to the wide world of Facebook users. RadicalBuy twists the traditional online classifieds model by opening up the sales channel to brokers. Third party’s can request to link a buyer to the seller for a commission set by the seller. Radical Buy takes its ~5% cut, the broker makes the bounty and the seller unloads his Atari 2600 in no time. Time will tell if RadicalBuy can leverage the network effect of social media by incentivizing friends and entire social networks to shop on behalf of other people.
